Scholarship Program

This program awards full scholarships to selected deserving students. By fostering the tertiary education of these students, MDFI hopes to inspire and encourage them to maximize their potential and aspire to become leaders in the next generation.

Who may apply?

  • Deserving but financially challenged pharmacy students who are on their last two years of study; enrolled in partner pharmacy schools of MDFI; with a general weighted average (GWA) of 2.5 (80%) and above; single; not more than 23 years old; of good health and good moral character; not on any other scholarship or education assistance program; and not a dependent of an employee of Mercury Drug Corporation, Mercury Group of Companies or its subsidiaries.
  • Recipients of MDFI’s Gawad Talino Awards who are incoming college freshmen in state universities, taking up Accountancy/Financial Management, Architecture, Business Administration, Engineering (Civil, Computer, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical), Information Technology, Mathematics, Pharmacy and Psychology; able to maintain a general weighted average (GWA) of 1.75 (90%) and above; single; not more than 21 years old; of good health and good moral character; not on any other scholarship or education assistance program; and not a dependent of an employee of Mercury Drug Corporation, Mercury Group of Companies or its subsidiaries.

How to apply?

  • Pharmacy students must course their applications through their school deans or department heads who will conduct the initial screenings and make the endorsements to MDFI.
  • Gawad Talino awardees must coordinate with their respective SHS Head/Principal to complete the pre-application form.

Qualified applicants will be contacted directly by MDFI via email, text or viber message, for the next steps to be taken/complied with.

Final selection and awarding
All qualified applicants will undergo competitive screening, and successful applicants will be advised directly by MDFI via email, text or viber message. Announcements will be posted on MDFI’s Facebook page.
